We had our ward Trunk or Treat tonight. I got out the lion costume this morning and asked Alex if he wanted to wear it tonight. He said yes and continued what he was doing. About 10 minutes later he started growling and unbuttoning his shirt. I asked if he wanted to wear the costume now and he said yes. So, he sat in the recliner and watched half of a movie wearing his really warm costume!!
I tried to get THE halloween picture out in the yard on the way to the church and as you can see, Alex ran away from the camera!
I buy Alex's costumes at Old Navy when they are on clearance a year before we need them (I already have the pirate costume for next year.). When I bought the Lion last year we joked about going as the Wizard of Oz. I half heartedly looked for red shoes all year and never found them so I didn't persue the idea. Well, my mom came to the rescue a few weeks ago and made my Dorothy costume. I couldn't believe it when I found sparkly red slippers at Walmart shortly after that. So, here is the tent my mom made (big enough to wear pregnant or if I gain 100 pounds it should fit nicely!), Alex as the Lion and Doug as the Scarecrow.

You guys look adorable! Alex's costume is awesome! Hope you guys had fun. You should stop by our house on Halloween, we give out hot dogs and chocolate milk - a tradition once started that can never be stopped.
