I am starting to think that the McAllister Family will no longer be observing any holidays... Lets see... Valentine's Day- cancer, another Valentine's Day I got to spend in the hospital 33 weeks pregnant and trying to stay that way. Christmas- the flu, Halloween we were all sick with something and Mother's Day- Primary Children's Hospital.
Sean was not acting himself Sunday morning. He was hysterical. Nothing we tried could calm him down. We waited it out for a while because there was no fever. So, at 8:30 am we decided to head to Primary Children's hospital where we would spend the next 36 hours. He developed a really high fever once we got to the hospital so I am glad we decided to go. Poor little guy had to have a spinal tap. Unfortunately, that wasn't the worst of it for him. The blood test showed high white blood cell count but every other test came back normal. What an emotional experience. It is hard to see your baby have to go through all that he did. Good thing Doug was there so that I could leave the room and cry. What a fun way to spend Mother's Day. Sean was sent home Monday night around midnight with the diagnosis that it was just a virus. Discouraging considering all the horrible things that they had to do to him to come to that conclusion. We are just happy to be home now and hope that we can get him over this. Thanks Mom and B for taking Alex for us.

On the brighter side. Alex did bring me flowers for Mother's Day last week!

Courtney, you are such a good Mommy!! Thanks for sharing the pictures of Sean. We have been praying from a distance! Get some rest. I love you.
Holy cow! What a Mother's Day. I can't believe it was just a various- yet thank goodness it was just a virus. They are definitely very thorough. I got to spend 3 1/2 hours of my day Tuesday on a follow up appt to Paiges surgery. I spent a whopping 3 minutes with the doctor. Now they want to see her again in four weeks. I may just skip that one. Glad your little one is okay.
