Alex turned 3 on Sunday. He told me he wanted a strawberry cake for his birthday so I searched my favorite recipe website and found a strawberry cake from scratch, bought all kinds of special ingredients, and spent hours making this cake. It was a HUGE let down. The frosting was great (whipped cream cream cheese) but the cake was a disappointment. Next time, I WILL make a cake from a box!!
